The bridge between standard and broad gauge tracks into the countries of the CIS
Direct, daily departures under secure conditions from western Europe to the countries of the former Soviet Union: our CIS Express is assembled in Sopron and processed for the broad gauge network in Záhony/Chop on the CIS border.
The Rail Cargo Austria Group enables us to optimise the transportation of goods between the different rail systems of western Europe and the CIS states. Our customers benefit from quick customs clearance and smooth tracking and tracing on the Sopron-Záhony route – the result of a close and continuing cooperation between Hungarian and Austrian partners. Fixed routes mean that it is possible to plan delivery times exactly.
Transfer onto the broad gauge takes place at Chop in the Ukraine. From there consignments are forwarded to destinations in the farthest reaches of the CIS and beyond.
